Change in the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp AG
The CFO of thyssenkrupp AG, Dr. Jens Schulte, has asked the Supervisory Board of thyssenkrupp AG for the termination of his appointment by mutual consent. The background to this is that Mr. Schulte wishes to join the DAX-listed Deutsche Börse AG group as CFO. The Supervisory Board will in the near future debate this request and a date for the possible termination of his appointment. Until he leaves the company, Mr. Schulte will perform his duties as CFO and, from February 1, 2025, additionally act as CHRO of thyssenkrupp AG on a temporary basis.
The Supervisory Board of thyssenkrupp AG had appointed Jens Schulte, who had previously been the CFO of Schott AG, as CFO of thyssenkrupp AG for three years in November 2023. He took office effective June 1, 2024.
“Since joining the company as CFO, Dr. Jens Schulte has contributed with great commitment and emphatic support, including in particular for the success of the APEX performance enhancement program, to thyssenkrupp’s good performance in a difficult market environment,” says Siegfried Russwurm, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of thyssenkrupp AG. “We respect Mr. Schulte’s wish to seize the opportunity to join the Executive Board of a DAX-40 company, although we very much regret his departure from the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp AG.”
